Open-Source-Research on MLGS
This post is part of an open-source research project on MyLeadGenSecret (MLGS). I’m exploring 28 key questions to help beginners better understand the system, avoid common mistakes, and use MLGS more effectively. Whether you’re new or struggling to get results, this series offers honest insights, practical tips, and real-world strategies – no hype, no fluff.
Imagine the day-to-day life of someone who’s been trying to make money online without success – it’s not glamorous
MLGS leads deal with a lot of frustration and pain in their daily lives due to their unrealized goals. Here are some of the key frustrations weighing on them:
Information Overload & “Paralysis”
One huge frustration is feeling completely overwhelmed by information. They’ve likely signed up to multiple MMO email lists, watched countless YouTube “gurus,” joined forums or Facebook groups – and gotten a flood of contradictory advice. Every day, their inbox and social feed bombard them with new “methods” and tips. The result? Analysis paralysis. They don’t know which path to follow, so they end up following none (or half-following many). As one analysis put it, “These leads often struggle with information overload, feeling overwhelmed by the vast array of online business advice.” All that noise is incredibly frustrating; they feel like they’re always researching and never executing. It’s mentally exhausting – they might spend hours consuming content about making money, and end the day no closer to actually making any. This constant overwhelm can make them anxious and irritable on a daily basis.
Lack of Results (Spinning Their Wheels)
Perhaps the greatest frustration is putting in effort and seeing zero results. They’ve tried to get traffic, tried posting on social media, maybe sent out some emails – and gotten crickets. Day after day of no sales, no sign-ups, no income. This leads to a creeping self-doubt: “Can I really do this, or am I just wasting time?” In their private moments, many of these leads feel defeated. One piece of copy describes it vividly: “If you’re like most guys trying to make money as an affiliate, the early excitement soon gives way to confusion, frustration and despair… Why ain’t anyone seeing my promo? Why aren’t they clicking my links? How come they’re not buying what I’m promoting?” . Those rhetorical questions are exactly the kind of thoughts that haunt them daily. They might refresh their ClickBank stats or email open rates each day and see 0 change – which is incredibly discouraging. The frustration of “nothing seems to work for me” is almost a despair; it’s that sinking feeling each time another day passes without progress.
Financial Pressure and Stress
Because they haven’t succeeded online yet, these leads are often still stuck in the same financial situation that drove them to seek MMO opportunities in the first place. The bills are still due. They might be living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to cover rent, credit card debt piling up, etc. Every day, that financial stress looms: maybe their 9-to-5 job isn’t enough to make ends meet, or they hate relying on a spouse or parents for help. Not succeeding online means their hoped-for relief hasn’t arrived. This manifests as daily frustrations like: having to go to a job they dislike because the online thing isn’t paying yet; seeing others online claim big earnings while they’ve made nothing; saying “not yet” to treats or vacations because money is tight. There’s also the time investment frustration: they pour hours into trying to build an online income on top of their day job or family responsibilities, which can lead to burnout. Imagine working 8 hours, then spending your evening trying to set up a funnel, and after weeks, having earned $0 – it’s maddening and tiring. They feel they’re sacrificing free time and sleep for this dream and getting nowhere.
Envies and Doubts
Every day they likely get marketing emails showing success stories – “So-and-so just had a $5,000 launch”, or they scroll social media and see someone claiming they quit their job with an online biz. While part of them is inspired, another part is frustrated: “Why not me? What am I doing wrong?” There’s a bit of envy and a lot of self-doubt. They might even face skepticism or pressure from family (“Is that thing making any money yet?”) which adds to their daily stress. Not having concrete success yet makes them feel they have to justify the time and possibly money they’re investing into these schemes, which is frustrating and embarrassing.
Isolation and Lack of Support
Another frustration is feeling alone in this journey. Often, their friends or spouse don’t really get the whole “make money online” thing. If anything, those people might discourage them (“It’s probably a scam, just stick to your job”). So MLGS leads can’t easily share their struggles – they suffer in silence, late at night at the computer, trying to figure things out. This isolation means the emotional burden of the setbacks weighs even more. Each failure or confusing day can feel like a personal burden they have to bear without much encouragement, which is frustrating and demotivating in itself.
Conclusion
In summary, because they haven’t succeeded yet, MLGS leads live in a state of frustration:
- They’re inundated with tips and offers, but that just paralyzes them.
- They work hard (or at least think and worry a lot about making money) every day, but see no reward – leading to real despair (“I’ve lost that marketing feeling”) .
- They remain stuck in the grind they wanted to escape, facing the same bills and boring job, which reminds them daily that their goal is unmet.
- Each day without success chips away at their confidence and patience.
On a day-to-day level, this might look like: spending an evening crafting an email or ad, waking up to zero responses, sighing and heading off to a day job feeling defeated, coming home and hesitating “Should I even bother continuing this?” – then seeing another “make money” email and feeling that mix of hope and cynicism all over again. That frustration is exactly what our email copy needs to tap into and alleviate – by empathizing, by offering a glimmer of hope that this time they might break through, and by showing them a clear, simple path amid all the noise.
(One telling statistic: in a Side Hustle Nation poll, 22% said they started a side hustle to get “extra money to make ends meet,” and 7% to pay off debt . If those goals aren’t met, the daily stress of bills and debt remains. It’s easy to see why someone in that spot would be frustrated each day their online efforts don’t pan out.)
